Kevin Saharic Obituary, Death – The passing of Kevin James Saharic has left an irreplaceable void in Lebanon Borough, New Jersey, where he was not only a firefighter and public servant but also a deeply loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. His life, marked by decades of service and unwavering dedication to others, is being remembered with admiration and gratitude.
Kevin is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years, Michele Kimberly Saharic, and their two daughters, Marlaina Saharic-Harding and Ali Garrabrant. He also leaves behind five cherished grandchildren Blake Alexander, Matthew Kevin, Owen Joseph, Hazel Scarlett, and Carter Vincent who brought immense joy and pride into his life. Family members say his greatest happiness came from being with them, especially during moments spent attending sporting events, sharing conversations, or simply staying connected through daily calls and FaceTime.
He is also survived by his siblings: his twin sister Lisa Saharic, Mark Saharic, Michael Saharic, and John Saharic, along with extended family members, nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who admired him deeply. Many in his family describe him as a guiding presence someone who led with strength, humor, and unwavering support.
Outside of his professional and public service roles, Kevin enjoyed a full and active life. He was an avid saltwater fisherman who loved time on the water, as well as boating and scuba diving with family and friends. He was also a familiar and beloved figure at Cryan’s in Annandale, where his presence and favorite seat at the bar became part of the local atmosphere he cherished.
Despite his many accomplishments, those who knew Kevin best say his true legacy lies in his relationships. He was known for his humor, generosity, and ability to bring people together. Whether at the firehouse, at work, or at home, Kevin built lasting bonds with those around him.
His passing has deeply affected not only his family but the entire fire service community across New Jersey. Fellow firefighters remember him as a leader who led with courage, humility, and dedication. His decades of service helped shape emergency response systems and mentor countless firefighters who followed in his footsteps.
Kevin’s visitation will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the Lebanon Fire House, followed by a funeral service and interment at Union Cemetery in Lebanon. The community is expected to gather in large numbers to honor a man whose life was defined by service and sacrifice.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial donations be made to the Lebanon Borough Fire Company, continuing Kevin’s lifelong commitment to supporting the fire service he loved so deeply.
